Outer Limits 4x4 Board

My wife is insisting on getting rid of the VN as we're spending more money on it than it is worth. Seems to me like the perfect opportunity to get into a fourby finally and am interested in a jeep.

Anything I should look out for or problems that can be expected from these vehicles?

ok that is a cherro = xj
cj & tj are the swb soft top things.
i don't have any tips sorry. others will chime in sooner or later, they just don't stop by here often

That model is the XJ. Should make a good family wagon come weekend warrior! (have a look for jimmyb's!) I don't mind the Jeeps at all (want TJ 1day myself)

I thought I had the wrong model !!!! I'm only new to jeeps so still a little confused trying to remember the designated model codes. My true desire is a patrol or cruiser but unfortunatley finaces for purchasing and running don't quite stretch that far. Jeeps seem to be very reasonably priced with much lower mileage compared to nissans and toyotas so would seem to me to be a good buy.

Be careful though, I had a 97 XJ that was a bit of a lemon.

But my wrangler and Grand have been no problems.

Dude , the main things to look out for are like any 4x4, chack everything out to see theres no offroad damage before you buy.

The only problems the XJs seem to have is the exhaust mannifold normally goes on (all of them), but on the otherside , perfect opportunity to get extractors.

Dont know if you will want to mod it or not, but all parts are readily available at most good 4x4 shops, and arnt too pricey.

Just make sure you know what you want to do and do it right the frst time.
