Hi Guys just chasing a Cheap L28 to go into my 81MQ Lwb.. Mine is quiet sad at the moment sounding like a diesel and oil all over side of Block and Blowing shit loads of smoke, And lost 60% of power...

SO I was just wondering if any one has one or knows of one cheap but still running and good ;)

Cheers

change your rocker cover gasket (easy) and adjust your valve clearances, your engine will be much happier. also electronic ignition kit or have your points adjusted by someone good

mine was getting sad also, and probably about a month back i looked at the clearances & they were around 2.5mm  were they should be around 0.2mm & 0.3mm, adjusted them, re did timing and carby etc...(although it still needs attention) & it runs allot better, but give this a crack first b4 swapping engines,
adjusting valves your first time should take no more than a half hour. Do it cold the first time if you like to figure out what your doing, replace rocker cover, then take it for a drive & warm it up, then re-remove rocker cover & go over them again to make sure they are right when "hot"

I was in the same boat, until one came up for sale.
So I'd say the best ppl to ask would be Screwy, Patroldude and poss Kingy or Wendle
