Looks like fun brother.

I was down South near Ulladulla (NSW) on the weekend and checked out a couple of short tracks near my parents place but nothing special.

Heading to Hillend in a few weeks and will get some happy snaps to add then.

Cheers.

I went to Janowen 4wd Park two weekends ago. Lots of fun but push in my sill panel just behind the passenger front wheel and damage the rear left underside corner of the tray. Nothing major and it was all in the name of fun.

Hopefully going to Double Island Point this weekend and the next weekend. Then a few trips around Gladstone.

No pics sorry. I have heaps but all the ones of my car are dodgy.

I'd like to. Don't want to pay big $$$ for them. I'm going to try and make some myself along with a rear bar.

I have access to a limited engineering workshop so I should be able to get something done. Just no big machine type stuff.

If anyone has any tips on making this stuff it would be much appreciated.

Sill dent. Doesn't actually touch the door. Although it is quite close.

haha, great stuff bro.

I would treat those few dents as medals of honour mate and be proud opf them...........lol.

Tip re the bars............Ensure you choose a good welder who knows what he is doing.........dont just go with any dill who reckons he can weld.

There are welders and there are welders.

My Dad is a Mechanical Engineer so I'll get him to do any welding that is required however I want some that bolt onto the chassis rails. I don't want ones that weld to the chassis.

As for the dents the front is an easy fix and as for the rear I'm swapping the tray once the bars are made anyway. I have another identical one that doesn't have any dents or tonneau cover rivetted on plastic bits as it was never used.

there hasn't been that much going on in this neck of the woods either... just a couple of short runs out near redbank... heaps of fun was had though... went out in a mates zook while he was driving the fronty :? ... hly shit those bastards(zooks  :D  ) go anywhere(however it was pulled out a couple of times).
I'm really suprised at how much fun you can have when you don't have to worry about bending the car... god bless cheap vehicles
Anywho... i'll post some pics tomorrow when the camera decides to unshit itself

I went out to Paradise Road today. Just a quick trip to see how the ute goes after it's minor suspension lift. I was quite surprises with how much difference it made. Places I pushed it to go before I did without lifting a wheel and places I couldn't go I did without too much hassle. Not bad for one inch. I took some wheel travel pics. Nothing too interesting but I might post some when I download my camera.

I went on a club trip to Inskip Point last weekend.

This Explorer got stuck exiting the first cutting. His towbar tongue was dragging in the soft sand. I tried ten times to snatch him out but since he would have weighed at least double my weight I only moved him about one foot each attempt. The Explorers driver wasn't helping much though. They had no recovery gear and didn't seem too confident to do what I was trying to tell them to do. In the end it took me and an 80 series two attempts to get him going.

Good shot for the health and safety guys among us. He was standing further away but must have walked down during the recovery.

Neither the 80 or myself got stuck during the recovery. The boat was huge too. A tandem axle trailer and you couldn't even see into the boat it was so high up.

Great pics guys!

I went to Wedge Island last weekend which is about 2 - 2.5 hrs north of Perth. Was good fun playing in the dunes... No real action shots though.
