Rear shackle angles

What shackle angle is better set for the rear in a hilux,Or what are you running and been successful with

I haven't experimented but always went with 45degrees being a good starting point.

Be careful with laying back short shackles too far (ie 45 degrees). On compression the spring will push the shackle back and lock it up under the chassis.

i used 2003 ifs rear leaves in my 84 lux.
snake racing extended shackles.
this setup gives you a really flat shackle angle, so i cut the rear mounts off and moved them back 50mm, this works great, they don't flatten out when carrying a load and the system flexes great!

with 200mm long shackle and ifs springs, my shackle angle is about 45 degrees. makes for a comfortable ride, but still not happy with the drop away

sorry to change the direction quickly , with a spo conversion do you need to run a longer shackle to get the movement or standards ok ??

With my fj40's i have always gone 2" extended.....great flex
