Loooking at an 84 hilux with VT com motor any advice?

Toyota Hilux VT V6 conversion, new Supra 5 speed, bucket seats, CD and CB, tinted windows, bull-bar, new Warn winch, side bars, canvas canopy, steel roof rack, water storage, Sunraysia rims, 6 new tyres, needs minor work and Regency approval
How hard is it to get this sort of thing complied? Is it hard finding insurance?
What sort of fuel economy does a V6 lux give?
Any help greatly apreciated.

Dunno where you are but in Vic wiith eng cert for all mods I had my V8 4Runner insured with then ARB off road insurance.
If its all done correctly and not a bodged job then engineering it will not be hard, depending on where you live.
Fuel economy......If you want that get a diesel.
And in my opinion the best way to keep it cool is by using ALL the commodore bits for the cooling system. Radiator, reservior bottle, comm fans, comm computer, ect...
And it sounds like a good car depending on the price.

Sounds good if it has been done properly.... If it's solid axle the sump should have been modified/ replaced for diff clearance. Using Supra box is good as the 4L 60E auto's that would've been on it originally are a pain if they get drowned in water crossings.
As above, definetly check to see how much effort has gone into cooling system. This seems to be what most people with these have trouble with.
