Longfield 4340/300M AEU2522 CV Interest?

There has been some discussion over at Pirate on the possiblity of Longfield producing a run of his 4340/300M CVs in a Rover pattern. I had thought that the simplest route to go would be to produce an AEU2522 (early 90/110/130) version as most are already set-up for this and there are off the shelf part avilable to convert. It is felt that he needs a minimum run of 100 CVs to make it worth the effort. I have started a thread at Pirate to gauge interest. Please post there if you are interested.

Thread over at PBB

Thanks, John B.

yes would be a good opton.

But as I allready run Toy cvs I will just get the toy 30-30 cv and have new axles made up.
which I think is what bobby will do.

toy stuff is already in prduction, the mods are similar to fitting the 110 cv, IE: still need to rebush the spindle only extra is to machine the swivell housing and spindles., my guess is that bobby will supply chro 30-30 axles and maybe an axle to suit rover diff and toy cv.

Reason: US guys are loking at max strength and the toy set up is the best that can be had in the rover housing.

why upgrade all the axles, cv's ect and still have weak r&p..

Michael.

Well yes and no. Most serious people already have 24/23 spline aftermarket shafts. Providing a 23 spline inner CV would save a fair few dollars and be strong enough. It shouldn't cost Bobby any more to produce, so I can't see the reason for not providing another option.

If you are insterested, post on Pirate. Revor (Keith) owner of http://www.rovertracks.com/ is working with Longfield on this. The more real interest shown, the more chance is has of actually happening.
