impressive. my feeling is it would be more impressive in half though - say four wheels, 400HP and only 1200kg. Similar performance for a far more reasonable cost and half the recharge time. upwards of $400,000 is too much to pay even for that kind of performance.
"... it does not feel as big or as heavy as its length and 2,400kg kerbweight suggest.
The only downsides, apart from the tiny cockpit, are that it takes 10 hours to recharge, and a production version would cost £170,000..."

depends on how long you get out of a recharge i guess
if you could go 500+ k's on a recharge, and recharge nightly in 4 or 6 hour lots (ie not 10 hours straight) then it wouldnt matter a bit
8wd is overkill tho, and 2.3tonnes :|
Yeah.... I'd prefer a smaller one though.
But read his points - he built it to exceed current supercars for promotional reasons. There would be no reason to build it in that form since most people dont get the opportunity to exceed 370kph....
The weight issue I can deal with to some degree... reduce the power to say 400 hp at 4 wheels of a 4wd and set it up to do 200kph and it would be more like 1500kg or so which is fine.
