Running on Gas

Hi guys I have a FJ45 (84mod) and was thinking of converting it to gas (dual fuel) is it realy worth the cost and if so what sort of a bennifit am I going to get. Mossy

hey yeh. i have an fj 40 with a 350 chev. any advice on the gas deal?
is it really worth it?

its been worth it for me. you use only a little more gas than you would pertol but you pay less. i got the sprintgas new gen setup on the 350.
should have done it sooner. i'm saving $20/week as a daily driver plus more when i go on trips out of the city.

with my fj40 (4.2l 6cyl) on gas i save about $25-30 per 300km so it saves a me a crapload of cash

the way i understand is that different companies make conversion kits. i have the sprintgas new generation mixer, another one that works differently is IMPCO. ring around a few of your local gas conversion specialists to see what they offer. my set up came in at just over $2000, thats to drop the vehicle off and have it all done for you in a couple of days, pits passed and all. then in wa theres a $500 govt rebate so cost me roughly $1500. ask about snorkels if you intend fitting one and where your exhaust is goin to to. think this was covered in another post somewhere here too.....
