Yep refrigeration lagging will be perfect.

Try Reece plumbing supplies.

just a thought but maybe not such a good idea to skimp on something that is going to save your noggin in a roll over. Buy the proper approved stuff, it is approved for a reason

the refrig laggin for 2inch or 3inch pipe has only got a wall thickness of 19mm and is rather soft. if ya gave it a hard headbut ya would easilly crack ya skull against the cage. ya better getting the propper stuff as it actually does what you want it to do.

how do i know.....i install airconditioners for a living.

a volkswagen nut friend of mine recently went through this. I'm sure if you twist his arm he will remember the name of the place ;)

Peter the Buggy Hooligan wrote:mmm, can't remember the details but i can give you directions for the place.

Go onto Silverwater Rd (Sydney), turn into the street with Silverwater Automotive Services (SAS) on the cnr, go up the road and turn into the first st on the right. The factory unit on the far side, right on the corner has two businesses in it, one sells scented candles and the other sells foam rubber. This is the business you want. Go round to the back door. The foam rubber is called EVA350 (350kg/m3). It is very hard. It is the stuff that meets ADRs. comes in 900x900mm sheets that are about $120 a sheet from memory. The people there can cut it for you no probs. Then you make it into tubes yourself.

The cool thing is the rubber smells like sented candles when you get it too.

here's my site report on how to shape it into tubes for your bars. Just scroll down the page abit.

Feel free to just post all these details if you like, give them my email too if you want.

See look I'm not the only fruit loop, with a shadecloth softtop, just let it be known, I am hearby also claiming the patent for camo netting as a soft top when I cut the roof off my GQ dual cab, as I have already done this to a Rangie :D
