Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Car kicks over but won't start. I've checked the fuel lines, no fuel getting to motor. Does anyone out there know where the fuel pump Relay is on a 93 Rangie? Service book no help. It lets me know that there is one, but not where it is.

Under the drivers seat there are two relays together, one is fuel pump can't remember what the other is. If you have the haynes book it is helpful. IIRC these both power each other in a strange sort of a way. I remember deciding not to screw with that when I was installing my LPG.

Check the fuel pump fuse as well and I would open the tank up and take the pump out and check the wiring on the top - it can corrode and fail. You fuel tank access should be easy as there will be an access panel in the floor of the boot and the pump assembly is retained by a big screw top like a drum or huge jar.

Before you do all that though I would get under the car and kick the crapper out of the fuel tank and then try to start. It worked for me when my pump was nearly dead

I couldn't fix it at work where it broke down so got it towed to Landrover just down the road and they're going to charge me an arm and a leg to put a new pump in for me. Too far to get it towed back home where I could probably manage that one myself.

I thought the relay was under the driver's seat too, but there isn't only 2 relays under there, there are about 6. Doesn't look like the picture in my workshop manual even though it says it covers my year.

Where does the fuel pump fuze live? I couldn't find that either. I should've probably had a look for these things before they started blowing.
