Haven't done it but heard that they do. If you can get your hands on them, the seats out of Surf SSR-X are the best, they are Recaro's.

Surf Seats

It is actually the SSR-G's that have the factory recaro interiors. If you can find a wrecker one they probably wont want to split the front and rear seats up or the door trims.

Last time I got offered a pair of Surf Recaro's, they were in pretty ordinary condition, dirty with cigarette burns and the inport guy still wanted $500 for the pair

I reckon the Prado 120 series front seats and VX onwards commodore seats are really comfortable if u cant get onto the surf ones..

Actually they are pretty plain, feature wise but they are extremely comfortable and look cool(Recaro is embossed on the back support).

They wear easily though on the base cushion side supports from entering and exiting the car. You'll find the wear common, that's if you can find them at a wrecker. I had my SSR-G Surf for 2 years and the Recaros were untouched when I got it but 70 thou kms later the side support on the drivers seat was worn through and cost me around $100 to get repaired.

They will go straight in mate, ive put them in my 92 extra cab and id put them in a 85 dual cab, they bolt straight in with no mods, i just have the normal surf seats and i have no compliants, they have lumbar support the base ajusts up and down and the sides move in and out there value a money i paid 400 from east coast 4x4 and not a mark on them and match the rest of the interior without looking out of place.
