2" spring lift, 2" body lift and will still have to cut back rear guard....
keeping in mind that springs i am running flex a lot so this is why guards rub at full articulation..
also tyres are simex extreme trekkers..

We have a 2in suspension lift in our rocky and the only problem we have is the front tyres tend to just touch inside the front guard, so we are going to put in some slightly bigger shackle to compensate. We have got 31" maxxis mudders underneath and they are a great tyre for a cheapo - brilliant in the wet.

i had 31's with custom springs (bout 2 inch but mega flexy) and i just modified the inner guards with hammer and grinder. still rubbed both ends but not too bad. With shackles the chassis width of the shackle is different to the spring eye, and at the front they caould still touch not too bad, and at the rear they rubbed in the inner guard slightly. A 2 inch body lift would have been good, but by then the zook was runnin, so i sold the rocky. Also 31's are on the edge of the factory gearing, esp if ya into crawling.

hmm what are the biggest tyres you can fit under a 92 rocky with a 2" body lift and 2" suspension lift?
Any ideas, asking for a mate

Depends on what he wants. Once you go to over 31's, the gearing is very poor (average to start with). Without swapping axles to lux axles or similar axle with wide range of ratios and lockers available. there isnt much you are able to do bout it. Having said that, if you arent into rock crawling or dont need low gearing, 32's would prob fit, depending on rim offset and actual brand of tyre (all brand measure up different, e.g. my MTR's on my zook are slightly smaller than my set of bfg muds even though they are same nominal size.) If ya mate wants bigger tyres, then guard modification might be worth a look too.

Thanks for the reply, so in short over 31's you loose too much gearing and have to bend stuff.
31's sound like the compromise of choice?
EASY DONE

I had 31x10.5's on my 85 rocky, std front springs, raised rear, not a problem at all. i reckon theyd still be fine with std rear!

I'm running 31 inch too.
And yeah the gearing is a total crap on the Rocky.
Anybody out there wanna let go final drives from a F20 Daihatsu Rocky/ Toyota Blizzard/ Scat? Heard they are 4.8.
No problem with the tyres hitting except that i find the front tyres hitting the leaf spring on full lock. Probably need more offset.
Currently running 3-4 inch suspension lift.
I've seen Rocky's running with 32 inch but require abit of front fender trimming when running 3 inch lift.
But the craziest i've seen is 35inch Extreme Trekkers on a Rocky running SPOA. Looks crap going up and down hill but outperforms my rig in deep ruts and muddy conditions .

The earlier F10 had 5.5:1 final drive.

whats the fuel like on the open road dose it go through more with 31. i throught that the diameter of the wheel is biger so your going ferther so less fuel but apprantly thats wrong? any one know how wide the rims have to be to fit 31 is 7.5in ok?

fuel not too bad if petrol version
basically on highway revs are lower at same speed but using a little more right foot to keep it there if that makes sense
also getting up to speed takes a bit longer

the difference isn't that extreme and it depends on what brand 31" your using
simex extreme trekker is what i am running offroad which are sold as 31" but measure closer to 32.5" so bad example of 31" economy
