7.50x16 = 31" tire.
Do the math....7.50x2 + 16 = 31

i thought the 7.5 designated the width not the sidewall height. My 7.5r16 tyres are taller than my 10.5/31's, as tall as cooper ST 32's

well they might be as tall as 32's because some tire manufactures are screwy. But they are supposed to be 31's. Measure the 7.50x16 and see how tall it is. I have several sets and they do vary from 31-32" tall.

7.50R16 measure up at around 800mm (31.5"-32")
which is fairly similar to a 235/85R16, a 265/75R16 or a 32x11.50R15.

So it would definately be legal to put a set of 32x11.5R15's?

iv got 33s on mine, almost everyone i know has 33s on theirs. no cop will pull you up for that. its only if you have some massivly dodgy job going on somewhere else and they might get anal enuf to sting you for as many things as they can...
