Got a mate whos buying a 98 Surf for $10,000 and wants a body lift for it and was wondering what needs to be done to the blocks for then to go on? how many are there? how many need to be threaded? what size thread? are there any major issues that need to be addressed like extended brake lines. and stuff?

I just had mine lifted..........I bought my blocks for $100
There are 10 all up, 2 smaller ones for the front and 8 bigger ones.
It was REALLY EASY to do, the only bit that was a hassle was having to make up a bracket for the bumper as it needed to be lifted too.
Didnt need to do anything else except drop the radiator....brake lines were fine.

U sure its a 98 surf, whats on the compliance plate? $10,000 seems awfully cheap! There arent too many 98 surfs in Australia and I cant imagine one going for 10 grand......tell him i will give him $12,000 for it haha

I'd be carefull on saying It's a 98 Surf. Just to be sure, check the original compliance plate, not the import(green) plate.

A 98 surf is worth mid to late 20's I would say he has looked at the complience plate not the build date.

go to www.toyotasurf.asn.au/forum

speak to JR and he will send a set of 10 for $100 inc delivery

yep it was easy just check the fuel filler pipe mine was a little tight but just undone hose clamp and relase pressure and the whole body lift cost $17 for bolts i put pipe with washer both sides and new bolts hasent move at all and made spacer on rage joint steering shaft was too short about 25mm now i have 275/70x16 tyres its great that tyre size is about a 32/11.5x15 so good high out of the tyre and body lift all up 4 and half inchs looks good too........................
