Who out there has done a two chop down i have seen a few know a guy who has done one himself nice ute ( done 8 years back now) i have cut one or two rangies up in the past and it seem really easy to do the cut and seal on the back . I am wondering what probs i might run into with doing this . I plan to shorten the chassis too .

From what i can see - the door weight will be an issue - you may need to setup a tube roll cage that is pre stressed to handle the weight of the doors.
This is teh main reason why my mate is doing 4 dorrs as they have a more rigid setup.

Spy pics on the way soon......!! :)

Very easy to do. I converted my 2 door into a styleside ute and got bobtail to bob the rear end (incl shorten the chassis) by about 16inches or so.

I then put hilux diff centres and 30 spline axles into it. And then put in a new shortened fuel tank.

Then I rebuilt my mogrover buggy so thats about as far as I have gotton at the moment. Just got to hook up the new fueltank and make a new filler and its drivable.

What do you want to know??
