i have absolute no chance of copying this, but i would like to know,

1- for does the skid steer work, is it air operated, what transfer case does it run, just things like that

i know it disconnects rear drive and/or locks the rear brakes,

2- doesnt the MOGROVER run the electronic traction control, wouldnt this interfere with the skid steer,

again this is all for my curiosity.

Case is NP205 with twin stick conversion. Also possible with a NP208, Dana 300 and Atlas cases.

Mog does not use traction control. It relies on factory cable lockers which come standard in unimogs.

See - easy!

Cases that can be modified to do the rear wheel dissconnect are Dana 18 (maybe Dana 20), Dana 300, NP205 and Atlas(does it standard). Other transfers that can essencially do the same thing are the full time 4wd transfer cases like the LT230 transfer found in Landrover Discoverys and Range Rovers (and also the transfers in Cruisers that have full time 4wd) cause in these you can just lock the rear brakes and spin the front cause the centre differential will just spin up the side gears (just like doing a one wheel burnout in a rear wheel drive car).

The traction control just controls the brakes so it can brake any wheel or wheels (also turns fairly sharp just braking the two wheels on one side) but disconnecting the rear works best. Even without locking the rear it still turns very sharp when the rear is dissconected. When doing the rockcrawling events you basically just drive the mog around in front wheel drive and only put the rear in when you need it. Its just so much more manouverable in front wheel drive.

In the cab if has got two transfer case levers. One for the front axle and one for the rear axle. Both levers just move from high range to neutral to low range for its respective axle. The case still has the interlock pins on the shifters so that you carnt shift highrange front and lowrange rear. So to lock the rear tyres you just pull the rear axle transfer shifter into neutral and hit the rear brakes.

its certainly an amazing vehicle, i saw it an action at woodpecker, it blew me away when he locked the rear wheels and made the tight turns in one go, it really made the whole course look like a walk in the park, full credit to those who built it
