Hi All

I thought I would show my new editions to the zook

and to answer your question stumped yes when it comes to bodylift time and I mean soon I could use some help...............thanks

The rims are loud but the tyres are louder

how loud are the simex?
when i had 32 mongrels on my zook i didn't think hay were that loud. but then the rest of the car was so noisy i just probally didn't notice.

I know. Saved myself $200 all up going for the muddies. I do mostly beach work so muddies should be better for me for now.

Plus quieter on road I think,.

They roar on the road especially at hi-way speeds

They are a daily driver 50% of the time, if I'm not likely to have a run for a couple of weeks I change 'em and put radials back on.

As a daily driver, they steer just fine. And wet weather grip isn't too bad either. They are more sensative to pressures than radials, below 25 or so on-road you can feel the sidewalls distorting before it takes a set to go around corners.

Freeway speeds again they steer and track very well.

At traffic lights, really low speeds, you can feel every lug hit the ground. Its just something to get used to. its like clutch juddder, but not as bad.

Disadvantages on road -

They do flat spot every night. It takes a few miles before they warm up. For me, its half way to work. The flat spots seem to be tyre temperature related. If the last trip the night before was just up to a takeway, no probs. But if the night before was the F3 coming home from the Watagans, big flat spots on Mon morning. (I live one block from where the F3 terminates)

And the noise. You gotta hear it to believe it. You can live with it around town, but it gives me a headache on the freeway.

Wet roads, dirt roads, they still howl.

A few of us in the LROC have got ETs, they are a great tyre. But you can tell whose on the UHF before they speak - the noise comes through the UHF. Or, if one of the guys overtakes on the freeway, you'll hear him before he's in your mirrors. They are that bad.

So all the jokes about low flying Cessnas are true.

But its worth it. I couldn't believe the improvement in grip over MTRs. And I thought they were good. So far I've found them to be a great rockhopper too, this is one area they aren't supposed to be as good.

They just seem to walk over everything, no smash & bash needed.

I'm a happy customer.

i reckon don't paint the rims, they look sweet as they are... different and cool. colour even compliments the body :D

I got some 32" mongeral's that are awesom off road, and not too bad on road now they are a bit scuffed, they were real interesting in the wet when they were brand new... but these are real loud on tar.
I drive at 8-10 psi offroad for trraction and 20-22psi on road for best comfort and most uniform tyre wear.

looks good hr, r they 31s or 32s?, i got my 32s a while ago, and after running mtrs to mongrels to simex... well wat can i say u get what u pay for especially with the simex, i couldnt recomend them them highly enough.. :D

I haven't driven them in anger yet so can't comment on performance but if they work half as good as they look :twisted:

You will have to come over Shane’s house some time and play on the rock’s. You will soon see how good your simex’s compare to the mtr’s. Shane has a set of 35 simex and a set of 37 mtr’s and the simex act like ice skates in comparison, but in saying that it’s totally the opposite in the mud. So I think it all depends what you’re driving on.

I bought RB's coily suspension and to stay true to their former owner I posed it up :D
