got all the cone washes out, been belting the Sh!!t out of the center of the hub (was told this would bounce the axle out of the side of the diff carrier)

there should be two thread holes in the axle flange. Put two bolts in the threaded holes and start to screw them in, this will push against the hub and force the axle out. You might need to hit it with a hammer as you tighten the bolts.

Told you to use a slide hammer! :)

Next try a chisel, keep the sharp edge parallel and pointing at the gasket so it doesn't harm either the hub or the axle.

the best way is two 10mm metric screws, high tensile would be good if you have em as the thread ends up quite screwed if thier standard bolts.

i would not recomend a chisel D:

once you have it out about 15mm it should come very easily, if it doesnt get a set of pry bars to get it the rest.

got it. used a chisel, think i f#@$ed the hub surface, and a couple of studs it's ok, it is from a wreck, and i don't think i'll need teh housing, was after the diff and possibly the axles if they looked ok, which i think they do

tried high tensile bolts, snapped 2 of them off in there (at least the guy at the bolt shop said they were high tensile), that's when i cracked the sh!ts and broke out the chisel... blunted the chisel nicely too, had to sharpen it each side.
