In just body lifted my gq but find that the low range lever wont select low range, cut and welded threaded bar in the linkage so now it's adjustable but i can only have 2 of the 3 gearsets after lots of playing around, is the simple solution just to cut the floor around were L4 should be, as the metal guide on the selector shaft shows i still have about 6mm on the denten to get fully engaged in low range.
P.S sorry to ask another body lift question but i did a search and didn't find this problem.
Thanks in advance!!

You can either cut the floor or bend the shifter. But what ever one you do you must allow for the movement between the floor and the gear box. I cut the floor in mine and the first time I hit a bump it would push it out of gear. I hope this helps !!

Bend the shifter or cut it and weld in a section to accomodate the lift. That way you wont have any issues with the shifter boots.
I got a local fabrication shop to do mine for $30.

No need to cut!
Just move the rubber boots down. All thats required is a couple of new screw holes.
Pull the front seats out, remove carpet which will give you a full view of the how its set up. There are 2 mounting plates. With a little adjustment of both plates you will have plenty of room.
Advantage of doing it this way is no water leaks where you stretch the rubber boot over the cut and if you want to romove the body lift later you can put the floor back to standard.
