Driveshaft angles / lengths

Had the lockers installed the other day and the guy at ARB pointed out to me that the rear driveshaft is under compression (ie. too long) but the front drive shaft is hitting the chassis cross member when the suspension flexes.
Its almost as though the whole transfer case should be mounted forward an inch to correct both problems but it is in the standard location now. Shortening the tailshaft only solves half the problem cos the front drive shaft only has 9-10mm clearance when the vehicle sits on level ground.
Suggestions to rectify this have included:
Raise the gearbox anything up to 60mm. (As the truck has 60mm bodylift)
Install a CV joint to stop the shaft hitting crossmember
Get out the angle grinder and take a huge chunk out of the cross member
If the current location of the gearbox is indeed original, I'm guessing someone must have seen this and corrected it. Venicle is 1988 MWB Landcruiser, 60mm body lift, 50mm spring lift
Thanks
