Firstly will the little battery and alt handle a pair of 100w spotties?
Second are the Narva ultima spotties any good? I realise they won't match brands like lightforce or ipf but are $200 cheaper.

Cheers

I have a pair of Narva 100w spotties, unsure of what kind but they do the job and I've never had a prob with them power-wise.

Any spot light is better than no spot light.

Get what you can or want to afford. Don't get dragged into the expensive stuff just cause everyone else has them !

The Vit electrics will handle whatever you put on as long as its not 6 on the roof, 4 on the front and 2 on the back ;)

Take a look at the NANE spotlights, not sure who have them over your way, but they are cheap and strong. I have 3 sets and never had a problem. Also a new housing if ya need one is only $20. Make sure ya use some neversieze on the bolts as one of mine rusted onto the bumper. (steel bumper)

Otherwise, std batt and alt will be fine with the spots.

cheers

I've had a set of 100w Hella Comet 550's for a few years, alongside 90/110w normal globes

They're fine, just dont leave the lights on without the engine running...

i have a pair of the narva ultima's on my front bar. one night on a logan run i had them on for over an hour+high beam +uhf etc. and when i stalled it on a hill, i couldn't restart. the spotties had drawn all the power from the standard Grimace little battery and it couldn't even click the starter.

so i'd say no, they standard vit alt isn't up to the task of running spotlights if your cruising round in low range with bugger all revs. its fine on the freeway, but not offroad
