Hey all, I have 4 spotties I want to wire up together. Which would be the best/easiest way to do so?

2 relays and run each pair independently
1 big kick arse relay and some 6mm wire ?

Getting a big enough contactor to run 4 through would up the cost a little.

If you run two seperate relays, you will be using a relay thats easily bought from just about anywhere, so easily replaced if one stuffs up. Also you will then have seperate fuses for each pair, so if a fuse blows you still have the other pair working.

You choice then is to wiring the control circuit. You could operate each relay seperate via seperate switches for individual control over pairs, or just use one switch and use it to operate both relays.

i've done done this. With some advice from Murcod (thanx Dave, although I have finalised teh minor details yet). I run it off two seperate circuits. SO I have two switchs, 1 for inner two, 1 for outer two (these are on roof). Keeping it to two means ampage is kept to less than 30 amps, and replacement parts are easy to get (as stated).

I have relays running of each battery. The only common is the highbeam circuit.

for my roof lights i run 2 relays which are switched together & i run 8 cables to em, a 2.5mm to each of em & back. Also on a plug for easy removal
