Alright, finally got this new motor almost sorted out, carby running and idling nice to, except as soon as i put on the light or fan on etc the idle picks up to alot to high! Any one have any suggestions, already replaced the diode in the wiring loom, makes no difference? Any help appreciated. Cheers.

yeah it is the idle up feature, i sure some one will correct me but i was asjusting my idle with playing with the 2 wind in bolt thing in the front of the carby , it is activated like a vacum advance i think, via a switch.
i sure some one who works on em willl know the wording.

The idle should go to bout 900rpm or a bit higher when electrical load like lights is placed on it. Get a mate to turn on and off ya lights while ya watch the front of the carby, there will be a little vacum servo that moves a lever when the lights are turned on. on the end of this lever is a screw adjusted pad. Turn this till the high idle comes down to the normal setting.
