I am 22 and have a two 4x4s the beast is a GQ with 6" lift + 35s etc and it cost me $1300.00 with just car.......NRMA etc look away when I tell them turbo....don't know why as it is diesel....GIO was the next best when I was looking last time....PS that cost is full comprehensive totaly in my name as me as the sole driver. PM me if you want details, but I dought you will find cheaper last time i rang around australia to brokers and everything, and they were still the cheapest + will insure all mods + full offroad use.

TCIS are generally at least a few % more than any other comparable company, anyway, just cars are underwritten by AAMI.

Unfortunatly most insurence companies shy away from any 4x4 with mods, and under 25 in turbo vehicle is also hard to insure.

I did manage to get a quote off GIO, shannons and TCIS, but they were somwhere around $2000 to $4000 more ( really bloody expensive ) Lukily I ring around and screw deals for a living, so i just kept shopping.

as siad before, just car will insure any mods as lomg as they are roadworthy.... in both my cars, everything down to compressor and recovery gear has been listed.

Hope this helps some.

PS no I don't work for just car

Im with Suncorp and they are fine with all the mod`s as long as its got a
engineers ticket and put through a blue slip than the RTA .

The rego papers and sticker now have modified and the engineers name on it

Racq stopped insuring me due to V8 conversion
Suncorp wouldn't insure me due to me changing it to a ute
Nrma wouln't insure me due to the V8
just car insurance will insure me and they are cheaper than racq were
