Can you all please justify why you have chosen that particular vehicle as being better?
From peoples experiences, which is the stronger unit? Which motor goes better (is the Navara motor the same as the patrols)? Driver comfort? Towing capacity? etc...

I ask this because I have driven 3.0TD patrols and want to know if it is the same motor as in the Navara's.

Sadly yes its the same motor.
But look at the lux, there are squillions of people out there with off the shelf accessories, and the same amount of spares and wrecked ones if need be.

I suppose spares are a big part of it. If they're readily available it helps.

due to minor hostility on this thread i will just say navara simply as its a nice looking truck and a few puts arse extras make the driver feel all sporty and stuff.......... like sporty spice of the duel cab world....

Depends on what your needs are. I went for the Navara because of the comfort and the bling bling of the interior compared to the bland and smaller interior of the Hilux. Also the biggest advantage is the power / torque of the ZD30 engine of Nissan. The Navara ZD30 runs a different turbo setup to the Patrol and has never had any issues.
Go and drive both vehicles as that is the best way to make your choice.
