hey guys i will be extending my wheel base some time next year and was wondering what to do with the suspension
it will be driving on the road as well as i want to compete in short course and similar events
i was reading something on pirate talking about the 4 link on the rear
and am a little confused so should i extend my lower arms mount them further up the chassis on the inside and would a wizard a frame be ok for the upper arms
i would like to improve the side slope fall over
so any help would be great also kind of legal in queensland i know a frames are illegal but u know can these mods be engineered i don't even know if extending the wheel base is legal in queensland?

everything you mentioned is legal in qld. come and see mine, i have been too busy/ on holiday for pics. then you can see the chassis mods, exo and the a frame (which is for sale i might add)
cheers bru

do you already have the a frame upper from wizard?
you could probably sell that, my 4 link rear in my lux owes me a bottle of wild turkey and $24.95 in bushes, steel was free, and am yet to buy bolts, probably another $60
I would build a complete 4 link from scratch, read, caluclate, recalucalte, then make sure it will fit, then start cutting

like bingham said any time mate.
mine it the big balls kit and bolts up to the std control arm mounts and welds to the diff (i am assuming blindly that the arms are the same length swb or lwb).
bingham i have been away for a week how could i be womanising

the extra time in designing your own 4 link suited to you car will work a shit load better than an off the shelf kit, do it right the first time

do you currently just plan to extend your lower links and use a a-frame from big balls with the chassis mounts moved back?
if so this will extend your wheelbase but wont do any wonders to your suspension geometry, read the linked suspension for dummies thread on pirate for a good start
