funny power steering

90 lwb GQ 2" lifted springs wanders round on road a bit and seems to have a vague power steering feel sometimes ??? pump on its way out or steering dampner a bit dodgy ?????

36 psi in front usually

I run mine on 30psi & it doesnt have any problems. If it is wandering I would look at the basics before the power steering. If the pump is buggered the steering will just get heavy. If the box is worn then it may wander but this is very unusual in a Potrol, they usually leak first.
The parhard rod bushes or something may be worn.

Yep try the bushes first. My mav was the same, changed all the bushes and its heaps better.

prob has something to do with your caster bushes being lifted and not corrected

was thinkin that, but with a 2in lift, its usually ok...
I'd also try swapping the front for rear tires and go for another drive.
