Would anyone know the correct timing for a 4.6l engine running on twin carbi's and electronic ignition?

Base timing will be the same as a fuel infected one. I don't know the answer, but google might.
Or a Rover service centre that's open.

If a Low compression engine, try 9 to 11 BTDC
If a Hi compression motor on ULP, Try 5 to 9 BTDC
All this is at idle, and using standard ULP.
The disclaimers are as follows...
1) If it pings, retard it
2) If using LRP, stop it and use ULP
3) Premium is generally not required, unless compression higher than 9.35 and running lean or hot or distributor advance faulty.
4) Vac advance must work to help at low to middle revs.
5) The worst enemy of big end bearing shells is detonation.
Hope this helps, JC
