I have a standard GQ ti wagon. looking at doing a 2 inch body lift and 2 inch springs and eventualy fitting a set of 32's. Am currently insured with Alianz (fully comp)called them today and asked about proposed mods and was told I could only go 2 inches over standard height. Any recomendations for an insurance company which is not so restrictive and dosn't have costs which are over the top?
Thanks
Alan

32"s are a non issue since 7.5R16 was a factory option and they're a 32" tyre.

Some insurance companies get very nervous about lifted cars... if you're getting that feeling now you're probably not gonna have much fun with them when you have an accident and need help.

Yeah , I was with Alianz aslo, I had a Cab cut done to a Xtra Cab and they would not touch me, Not even considering I had been with them for 10 Yrs without a clain, I found Unique Car Insurance in Melbourne to be great,Good price  and a agreed value also :D right down to the roll cage and racing seats, 36 inch tyres and all, Give them a yell........

I think within 2 yrs you wont get insurance for over 3inch lift at all.

I think there will still be specialist places who will do it.

I Guess I have to stick with 2" lift now I signed up with NRMA today - they also specify a 2" maximum lift on thier policies.

Nothing about virtual lift by chopping into the guards though

Woohoo... first time in 12 years the bike and car have had insurance.

Lets hope I dont need it. :?

Shannons generally wont just insure a 4wd from what i understand, if you have another classic or collectable or rare car with them they seem happy to do it.
Thats what i understand from my dealings with them.

Correct, I have the Audi insured with Shannon’s and that was the only reason they gave me a quote. However I ended up going with someone else after I got the quote.
