JUST PUT NEW FLUID IN YOUR CURRENT CLUTCH FAN.. YOU CAN GET IT FROM TOYOTA DEALERS

DO YOU REALISE YOU ARE TYPING ALL IN CAPITAL LETTERS?? IF SO WHY IS THAT

I seemed to have missed something here.
How does replacing fluid in the clutch get rid of the noise of the fan, or stop mud being sprayed every where?

While on the topic, is the fluid easy to replace?

First question - nope but the car want over heat.
Second Question - Very easy to replace. Take radiator out , no-doubt it will need a clean anyway. While it is out flush the A/C condensor core aswell. This is most likly the reason for over heating anyway.
Then remove fan and fan hub. Undo the 4 screws holding the 2 halfs together. Fill wthl silicon oil (special stuff from toyota - a search wil find the P/N). Then put it al back together.

As for pissing off the engine fan cos its noisey. I would clean the radiator out, then it will cool properly and the fan will rarely turn on.

If you must still have thermos. Get them from a AU falcon. These seem to work really well for guys with engine conv, Who cant fit an engine fan.

cause there is obviously something wrong with the car for it to be on all the time, or there is something wrong with the clutch fan for it to be on all the time, replace the fluid to correct level will make the clutch fan work correctly.

Secondly, themos will throw mud everywhere too.. but once they get a gut full of mud into the bearings etc they will die.

Keep the fan noise as it is cooling the motor properly and the best fan to do the job. The fan should only come on above half temp on the gauge and turn off after about 30 sec to a minute after coming on under normal operation
