Lads,

Have any of you had problems with the splines that the torsion bars slide into in the control arms..,

I have a clunk - not bad, sounds like a flogged out shock bush

Clunkety clunk as you go over small bumps

The common ones that spring to mind are
shock bushes
antisway bar bushes or links
less common
top inner bushes
top wishbone bolts loose
top balljoint bolts loose, especially if balljoint flipped
Try the 2 bolts each side holding the torsion spline to lower arm

Common problem with a Paj.................
As J Top outlines any of these can be the cause but a lot of the time it turns out to be the balljoints or upper wishbone bushes.

Try coming to a "quick" stop - if you get the clunk as the car levels out after stopping my money is on the top ball joint.

Loose bolts should make the steering and cornering feel a little on the loose side - ball joints often give the clunk.

worn or loose upper control arm shaft will for sure do this just helped a buddy replace his if its worn tires will tend to start doing this / \ and clunking over bumps.

Well, I found the clunk

It was the left hand wheel bearing - loose

it's the one that would have been pulled apart when I had the locker fitted

I put abit of pre load on them and all is good again
