ARB compressor wiring

I have recently done a body swap on my 4runner and when putting all the wiring back together the ARB air compressor does not work.

So I was wondering if anyone had a wiring diagram to help me figure what is wrong.

Or any ideas on what could be wrong.

I'll have the wiring loom out of my lux in a day or 2 if you wanted to have a look at that. Haven't got the diagram that came with it though...

Anybody done a quick mod to the loom so that you can use the front locker without the rear engaged?

i know nothing about the air locker system, but it looks like if you put a switch on the solenoid for the locker you want to isolate it should still work, presures might change or something though???? do they really have to both be either engaged or disengaged???[/quote]

ok i don't have lockers but the way i thought it worked was each locker has a switch if you want the front on turn the front on and leave the back off

When you get them installed by ARB or somewhere like that they wire it up like this. They say its safer that way, not 100% sure why.

Yeah I noticed this with mine and I wasn't sure if I'd wired it up wrong to start with cause I had the switches around the other way with the rear not being able to engage without the front until I swapped them back around. It seems like a pain in the ass to start with but I've never wanted to lock the front before the rear anyway.

Lots of reasons to only want front, greasy side slopes, rear failure, broken axle/CV etc. Just thought would save some time is someone had already done the mod.

As stated in earlier posts with the ARB Factory loom the front switch does not get power until the rear is engaged.

Locky

I can understand the others but greasy side slopes?? Wouldn't that make both wheels lose traction together and cause the front to drop down the slope??

the reason they set up the lockers so that the front cuts out if u disengage the rear is a saftey feature . it is so if u hit the rear off the front disengages so if ur hanging on a hillside , rockshelf , whateva and the front is on / rear off it could cause the truck to tip over. hard to explain but if the front grabs on a angle and pulls the front of truck down on angle it may roll over :? thats what i got told anyway may be wrong ;)

you need to remove the YELLOW wire from switch 2 , then piggy pack the RED wire on switch one to where the yellow wire on switch 2 was and bobs ya uncle
then just tape up the end of the old yellow wire and its all good :)
