Air con pump

First thing you need to do is leave it back in the car....lol

That way, you can turn the air con pump on from the original switch in the dash, or another one (that bypasses the thermostat, of course).

You really should filter the input, but a small air cleaner like what the fully sikk brigade use for rocker cover blow-by/motor cycle air cleaner, etc, would be fine IMHO.

The original outlet hose can then be cut & a rubber air hose fitted, and routed to either an under bonnet, or in the rear tank (which would probably be better)... or even an under body one to save you precious space inside the back of your car.

I use truck brake air tanks as they're super cheap and easily fitted up.

You can then use a pressure guage (even off one of those shithouse pumps from K-Mart or wherever), a pressure cut-out switch, and an air outlet in the back corner of your rig.

Hope this helps, and, hpefully someone will have suggestions in relation to the possibility of oil problems from the lubricant oil in your A/C compressor.

Enjoy...
