The following is a list of things HSV Rangie has done in the way of axle conversion. Does anyone know of a place in Sydney that can do these mods start to finish.






Yes have fitted toy diff centres to RR along with jacmac 30 spline axles and toy/longfield cv's.

Axles:
front $500..00 set
Rear $550.00 set
Driive flanges $75.00 each. each x4

Toy diff centres what ever you can get them for, front must be hipinion.

Machine work:
bore out rear spindles aprox 20-30 thou. $25.00 each
bore out front spindle same and machine to take either toy or 110 cv (new chromo cv available from US). $100.00 each. + cv.
bore out swivell housing same amount.
Machine toy pinion flange to take RR drive shaft. $40.00 each.

works to diff housing.
needs to have new studs fitted to toy pattern (drill and tap) I have a template for this.

Bruce Davis at Annangrove in the Amaroo Pk complex on Annangrove Rd will no doubt be able to do this. They seem to be able to do just about anything.

There are also some options on this such as having JacMac produce you lockers in 24 spline which runs the common Rover axle, be it MAxi/JacMac/factory whatever, and these can be made to suit whatever CV you run also. 24splines dont really break, but they may absorb more impact by flexing. Prices have gone up since also, and I think axles are now about $700 per end. I think JacMac may also be able to supply you with machined Toyota flanges to suit a rover shaft. You can also have a flange fitted to the tailshaft uni to suit the Toyota diff also - these are a bit expensive though.

Also to do this you will probably need to change over to 4.1 or 4.1 ratios as thats what the LC80 and LC100 come with, with the hi-pinion fronts for eases sake. 4.1-33's, 4.3-35's. Finding the rear diff gear is the trick.

other way round....
the rear is just a standard hilux 3rd which are easy to find
the front high pinion is the HARD one to find
