3rd party property insurance

has anybody had trouble getting insurance on suzuki's with modified suspension or engines? and does it put ur premium up at all>?

Generally it's outright refusal....
For the specialist insurers who know the diffrence betweena 7" lift and a 3" lift it may affect premium. Especially for the young.
Being a 30+ old fart they'll insure me or refuse.

My '90 sierra is insured with TCIS
http://www.tcis.com.au/. It has basic mods, such as 2" suspension lift and a couple of other items listed as accessories (GPS, UHF, etc).
No dramas at all insuring it, other than doing the paperwork. They seem to be quite happy with mods as long as its road worthy. Its insured for an agreed sum of $10,000 and costs ~$600/yr. I cant remember the exact figure off the top of my head. This includes full cover offroad.
I'm 28 and you do need to be a member of a 4wd club ($40/yr in my case).

yea i'm a red P plater, so i'll just have to do some looking around, my zook is pretty stocko at the moment, but that will change. maybe i might get it insured under my dads name, because chances are i'm not gonna put in a claim in cause i have two cars the other is a gereral purpose. but thankx for the info.
