2.5 tb diesel

looking at buying a 1991 paj 2.5 tb d , this is the model with out the scoop on the bonnet.I have heard good and bad things about this model can anyone steer me in the right direction.
They can go well.Seem to love a big bore exh.
The engines are very dear to o/haul, have a diesel tech do a pre purchase inspection for you.
