Range Rover Stop Tail

Can anyone explain why the drivers side only stop tail on my RR has a very short life expectancy? It usually only lasts a few days and when it blows it turns black and grey. Totally FUBAR.

Try a known brand of globe (Osram, Narva etc) and you might find it will last longer- or possibly one of those LED type bulbs that Jaycar sell. My old Charade did a similar thing with the rear right brake light blowing every couple of months. Never got around to working out why (before the engine blew
); but I did notice dearer globes lasted a lot longer.
