Hi all. I'm looking at putting a 10ft tinnie on the roof on my NJ. I'll probably end up making the roof mount out of steel. Before I start this adventure, is there anyone out there done the same ect, and if so can you give me some advice. My only concern with this is whether the vehicle roof gutter can withstand the weight loading of the mout and boat, any thoughts on this concern would be greatly appreciated.

centre of gravity might be a problem.. why not an inflatable? how much are you planning to use it? i know tourer's who've regretted taking one.

Thanks for the reply. I'm not to concerned with the COG issues as the bots on the roof to may way for towing the campervan, so I don't expect to be getting myself in any position where a high COG would be detrimental. As to how often I'll use it, well to be honest, only when we are towing the campervan on a trip, and I intend on fishing from the boat, otherwise the boat sits quite nicely on the box trailer. Don't think an inflatable would suite, I like the indestructable nature of the aluminium boat.
