I am looking at getting these for the Ferozaaahhh.... I know a couple of people who have them and they haven't had any problems at all - that's with using them as road tyres as well.

I'd appreciate any experience you guys have had with them, or even what their common problems are......... :D :D :D

i've had mine for over 12months now and they've been a good tire. i have the 32x10.5's which are the full remould. i've driven to landcruiser park and back on them before (2.5hr trip) with no dramas

I know you drive on the Beach a lot Heidi, and I think you'll find they're not really the best for that, that's what I was told anyways. But you've always a Surf you can hijack for that I spose.

I just bought a set of Motorways from Craig at Prestige Tyres in Dianella, I found his prices to be very good (he dropped $20 off the price just because I said nicbeer sent me) and his service was second to none. Top bloke and highly reccomended.

Cheers,
Neil

I drove Tville - Bris on Mongrels, they seemed fine to me.

I would suggest making sure you have some extra pressure in them for onroad though, to keep the sidewall flex and therefore heat down.

I've got them in the muddies on a vit. I reckon they're great. no noisier than a normal muddy and good wear. At the price their hard to go past.

Hey Niel,

What size you end up buying? Muddies or mongrels?

I've heard that Motorway tyres are only rated to 120km/h, which is less than allowed for most road vehicles. Thinking I'd find out for myself, I visited Motorway's site - no mention of speed rating anywhere I could find.

Does anybody have anything in writing from Motorway on this subject?

Cheers,

Scott

mine are the mongrel retread 31's...on the side they say speed limited to 120kph...I assume remoulds be same/similar..
Laws may differ for special purpose tyres, tho?

Yeah, the speed limit is 110 and the zook needs a hill to hit 120 anyhoo :D

Nick, in the end I got the 30x9.5 muddies. Just for simplicity's sake. Got Ranchos and 2" kings on order now.

Cheers,
Neil

I think the regs normally state something like "140 km/h or the top speed of the vehicle, whichever is the lesser" - so we know Zooks will be OK. :finger:

Do any of the larger tyre companies sell Motorways? ie Quickfit, Bob Jane?

Not that I know of. Mostly privatly owned companies.

My Motorway muddies are working great sofar.

120km rating on sidewall.

Intersting note told by motorway seller. Speed rating is a legal thing. One of the vehicles that ran outback challenge and the gascoyne dash avg'd about 140km in a couple of sections running on the mongrels and had no problems.

cheers
