Does anyone have a wiring diagram for a 1990/91 hilux 22R?
The alternator was not working, replaced it. Then it's wasn't charging, replaced the fuse in the regulator box, now it's over charging.
Replaced the regulator, still over charging. I've been told it's in the wiring between the alternator and the regulator.
Need some help please.

this should be in the toyota section
Ruff is going to smack your arse
Here is the the rule you just broke, rule # 1 of all things
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ok things in the Tech Sections are getting out of hand. There are too many threads with no Tech and too many replies with no Tech. There are also too many threads in the wrong Tech Sections.
So these are the new Rules for all of the Tech Sections.
1; Specific Make Sections are for Specific Make Tech Questions. Dont ask a question about putting a V8 in a Patrol in the General Tech Section. Ask it in the Nissan Section. As you dont ask should i buy MTRs or TSLs in the Nissan section, Ask this in General Tech.

Smack your arse for posting no tech!
Do you have an adjustable regulator or a resin filled non adjustable?
Obviously it is wise to check all wiring and connections for problems, but if the fault is as you say overcharging, then the regulator is the thing to look at after your cable inspection. They are only around 50-60 bucks to replace, replace it with an adjustable one. Get a service manual to help with the adjustment, the small terminals that you bend in the regulator are very sensitive.
Really any toy manual from the motors era will help you out with the wiring diagram to the alt, they pretty much all have the threee prong plug (for N, F, E) in the rear of the alt and one big fat termnial for the + (B). These are all easily traced to the reg with a multi meter and test light.
Have you had the alternator tested as well?
