SAS LEGAL?

just thought id put it here as i cant contact my mate at dot on the weekend...
does anyone know if a SAS on a vitara can be approved in QLD ?

Last I knew it could be done and engineered.
There's no specific modification code for front axle substitution that I can get my hands on but the rules for it are probably in line with those for rear axle substitution and brake substitution (modification codes LD and LG).
There will probabably be some other relevant codes relating to steering modification too.
Obviously the brakes will need to be bigger, and the axle width needs to be within 50mm. If you're talking Hilux to Vit then it's ok on both of these.
There's a few QLD engineers here who can provide more exact details.

When I was in Townsville they were not going to let me have Spring over on my zuk and it was engineered and regoed in Canberra.

I meant that a SPOA is less work and welding than a SAS
