any mechanic shop will have a disposal facility, and as far as i know it doesnt cost anything for them...........as long as its only a normal amount. they didnt want the 100 L of contaminated diesel i have.......
Most garbage depot will take the oil for recycling.I usually take mine there when i take my trailer never taken just a drum of oil so dont know if they charge for that but.
Hume City Council tips will take up to 10 ltrs for free if you are a rate payer. Tip the oil in the drum, chuck the container in the recycle bin next to it.
Mixed with petrol ( about 4 parts oil to 1 part petrol ) it makes a mighty Bullant nest distroyer !
Wipes out european wasp nests like nothing else,
Ideal for poisioning those hard to get to spots with the wipper snipper.
Excelent for dirt shed floors ..... just rake it in and allow to set !
otherwise .....most auto mechanicle shops have disposal facilities, if not some shires / council transfer stations do have disposal facilities.
or as above ...... BONFIRE STARTER !
