i am looking at replacing my 84 lux's standard steering dampener with one of those return to centre ones with the spring around the shock.
will this bolt straight into the original mounts or will i have to change things?
any help appreciated

not sure if they will match

but a few weeks ago in this section alot of people were complaining about the RTC dampners and were having a number of problems

maybe worth a look to choose somthing else

I recommened the OME steering dampener, dont waste your money with the RTC not worth, the OME is a good one

I run an OME dampener and works well, try driving with it of completely, on a lux is not really doing that much at all, so save your dollars.

I haven't had a steering damper on my lux for 6 months or more now, and didn't notice anything much different.

I have one of the BIG tough dog steering dampers on my 80 and it has made a difference to the way it drives.

But it may be more noticible on mine as it has 7" under it..

They supplied new brackect to replace th OE ones.. It was an easy fit.

Cant compare the Fat Iron Pig to a lux :finger: they need it just to stay in the middle of the road, at least mine does. ;)
I had an OME unit fitted to my old Lux, Endo has since removed it and reckons it drives brilliant :?:
