Speed limiters

Post by GQ Toy »

A query I have been thinking about for a while is the issue of speed limiters. I travel about 80,000km a year with work, much of it on long country roads and speeding is a big issue as I regularly exceed the limit. I drive a V6 Triton that sits very comfortably on 140km/hr, the issue came to roost this when I got done twice. I have aftermarket cruise control but this has been nothing but trouble. Does anyone know of any products that are available for limiting speed, I do not want to limit revs as I play in dunes on weekends. I know they exist on trucks, can they be adapted for 4wds?

maybe try a different cruise control ?
what was the brand of the one that plays up ?
a speed limiter would be the same or more than C.C. i presume.
