Twin shock mounts

What are some of the ways to mount twin shockies on a GU Patrol. Sparky has a good fairly simple setup. I was thinking of making a twin pin to eye converter that just bolts into the original lower mount and then I only have to cut and shut the top mount. Can any of the suspension guru's see a problem with this? Has anyone got any other ideas? :D

There's enough room in the upper mounts to fit twin shocks in there. you need use the original tower and simply extend the bolt on part of it. At the diff end the simplest way is to extend the mount out towards the back and reinforce the side with 32mm * 5mm flat. keep the pin connectors for two reasons, one the pin to eye converters take up valuable shock travel room. 2nd you can pick up the bits easier.

When my set up was done we strengthend the diff at the same time.
The original shock mount was cut off the diff and a new laser cut one with two holes was welded in place.
Don't know how you would fit 2 shocks in the original shock tower. We had to cut a bigger hole and panel beat the gaurd out off the way. This was made a little easier as I am using Koni shocks which have a smaller diameter so could be placed closer together.

Anyway have to take front tyre on the weekend off to get fixed so will take more photos of it then if you like.

I was talking to a mate and if you use a shrter shock you can bolt a mount to the chasis and then to the leading arm were the sway bar use to bolt in. Or somthing like that.
