Hi all,

Looking to remove the R A N G E R O V E R decals from the front and rear of my truck, and put on some stainless laser-cut ones. Has anyone tried to remove these before? Is there a proven technique? Or just have go with a heat gun, scraper blade and some patience? The ones on the front look pretty crusty!

And they come off pretty easily do they? What does the paint look like underneath?

You're on the right track, heat gun, hard plastic scraper and use some metho on them before hand to soften them up. Then once you have the outer skin off and there is the left over adhesive underneath use more metho or better still at this stage use eucalyptus oil to rub the rest of the glue off.
Hope this helps....

A hair dryer can work too, and you wont burn the paint.

weekend before xmas someone scratched off the top of the R and whole E and R with there finger and didn't scratch the paint (original paint is under the strickers) I wasn't happy as in now says Hang Over...my stickers were in really good nick to.

going to pull the stickers off and fit the plastic letters
