Outer Limits 4x4 Board

So I found a 1984 Toyota Camry Deluxe that has the 1.8L turbo diesel in it and was wondering if that is the same motor offered in the lux. I have an 83 lux with the 22r and was hoping that i could swap this in without much fuss.

Its hard to get good diesel tech over here and was hoping that you guys could help me out.

What questions should i ask about the condition of the motor?

She'll be pretty gutless!!!!

>88 had 2.4lt
>97 had 2.8lt
>toady have 3.0lt, wither NA or turboed.

They all gutless unless turboed, even then they are still a bit slow and gutless.
