Outer Limits 4x4 Board

Guys,
Newbie question but when reference is made to a Suzuki 1.3L "long" or "short" motor, what does it mean?

One refers to the bare basic block-short moptor the other has all the dodads on it ready to bolt in, carby ect Long motor
