My new Mav has electric windows and I'm having trouble with the passenger side front window. It goes down fine but won't go up unless you pull it up. Any ideas what the problem is.
I tried searching but I didn't really find what I need.
Thanks

The runners wear out on them heaps.. they dont stay in the track going up then.
other issues, if its been rarely used, it could just have shitty contacts. rear ones are hideous for this, my left rear wont go up again now, gotta rip it apart.
theres a PLASTIC gear in there that usually strips too, if its making noise and going nowhere, then $1.00 says this is your issue..

I don't think the runners are worn, all the other windows work fine. It is like it just doesn't have the grunt to lift it up by itself, it just needs a bit a hand. Will be pulling the trim off this week to have a closer look.

Give the rubbers in the guides a lube with either silicon spray or Graphite powder. Never use any petroleum based lubes as they attract dust.
If that doesnt work the guides can sometimes be out if adjustment causing the window to kick sideways when it goes up. Worn regulators cause this too.

would be interested to find somewhere that makes the gears in maybe brass? I think they would sell well!

you have to buy the whole motor to replace the 20c cog, do what i did and get an engineer to copy the cog out of brass, mine has worked without poblem for nine years now, make sure you get at least two made at the same time tho
to get to the cog you have to take motor out and on the face of it you will see a circlip, pop it off and you will get to it

some times if the left side window motor wont work from the left side switch the problem can be dirty contacts in the left switch on the drivers side main control panel silly i know but it happend to me .
also you can take the motor out of the back door and fit it in the front just to check if its the motor or not
