in one of these?
I am probably borderline breaking the rules of the forum posting this here, but one of the blokes knocking these Rock Bars up has done heaps for getting us onto private land with no rego needed and running amok amongst the big rocks. So I think a bit of free advertising in return isn't too much to ask.

Looks pretty sweet, throw it in general for more exposure, does he do other makes or only for the GQs???
They look great!!
As for the rules, I beleive, advertising to a degree is ok.
State a price.

I put the phone number there, I don't know if they have a firm retail price, they were going to try wholesaling them to all the usual suspects as well. So far I think they have built prototypes for 75 series and 1st gen Hilux as well.

Very nice, when i get around to doing something with the Patrol I might have to update the bar to something like that.
I really want to get some of our club guys up to that property but they all whinge about it being too far from melb, maybe when the weather is better I can convince them

There is two ways to come up, through lakes entrance/cann river, or up the highway and through tumut. It is a bout 7-8 hours drive whichever way you go.. I can see where they are coming from with their whinging, seeing as you blokes all drive little zukis on big, bias tyres..

I had breakfast at the cafe in orbost one day (the one with the psuedo grave in the planter out the front) and it was bloody expensive! That is all that I know about orbost.
I'll have a look at a map tonight and let you know.

whereabouts is eden?

our club isn't going to the farm over Anzac but it is good to know how far from it , it is. Eden is on the coast of NSW sort of near the Vic border. All you nned to know about Orbost is that you spell it O R B O S T other than that I can't think of anything interesting about it

and for the thread hi-jackers
Eden would be less than 3 hours away, up to merimbula, over the brown mountain, up to cooma, and out to berridale..
Orbost probably about 4 (?) hours, up to cann river, numeralla, nimmatabel, cooma, and out to berridale..

Not a bad looking bar but are the corners on the top cast pipe corners welded in?
Or is this one piece that has been bent?
Not that there is realy a prob in that area if they are welded in but i have seen these break away real easy with a hard impact.

yep, the top hoop has precast bends to keep the radii tight (just an aesthetic thing to match the cars square bonnet)

yeah, they have a strip of flat welded to the rear of the top hoop. you just mount your lights hanging upside-down.

I don't think he has had time to make up any stock lately, so you might have to wait a bit
